Pedro Hernández trató el tema de gobernabilidad, participación social y ley 176-07 y Carlos Pimentel abordó en detalle los temas de la Ley 200-04 de Libre Acceso a la Información.
El Proyecto Construyendo Juntos Gobernanza Local con Participación y Planificación ejecutado por la Federación Dominicana de Municipios-FEDOMU, realizó el Taller sobre Gestión Municipal y Participación Social dirigido a comunicadores de las regiones Cibao Norte y Noroeste en el Restaurant Don Fello en Navarrete.
La comunicación como vehículo de educación e información juega un papel de importancia en los procesos de fortalecimiento de la democracia y de un buen ejercicio municipal y social, por eso este taller tuvo como objetivo el sensibilizar e interesar a los-as comunicadores-as para que en su trabajo motiven a la ciudadanía a integrarse y a participar en la gestión local como vía para lograr la gobernanza en sus espacios territoriales.
La actividad se realizó el jueves 27 de junio, en el Restaurant Don Fello en Navarrete y se inicio con la bienvenida y contextualización del Lic. Victor D'Aza, Director Ejecutivo de FEDOMU que resaltó la importancia del talle; la bienvenida estuvo a cargo de la Lic. Bárbara Reyes, Vice alcaldesa de Villa González.
El taller asistieron comunicadores y autoridades municipales de las dos regiones y de medios locales como Programa TV Lo que pasa, Coctel de opiniones, La Voz y comunicadores de los ayuntamientos de Tamboril, Mao, Puerto Plata, Altamira, Villa Bisonó, Villa Gonzalez, Santiago, Villa Cayetano Germosén, San José de la Matas, Puñal. Villa Isabela, Imbert, entre otros.
